PUPILS at Harrow School swapped their beds for shelters made from cardboard boxes to raise money for a homeless charity.
Twenty three students were taking part in the national YMCA Sleep Easy event raising more than £6,000 for the West London YMCA.
West London YMCA houses more than 450 young people a night and provides training and support for them to move onto independent living.
Guy, one of the Harrow students, said, “I think that we should all be thankful that we have a warm bed to go to every night.
"I'm glad that I participated in this event as it does give you a taste of what homeless people have to go through on a daily basis.
"I personally didn't get that much sleep but lying in my cardboard box it reminded me that some people in the world go through this tiring experience every night even when the weather is atrocious as they have no other option.
"However, I have no regrets participating in this event and found it to be a good experience.”
