A NORTH Harrow school pupil is celebrating after raising £170 for Red Nose Day.
Poppy, 10, of Park Drive, expected just £50 when she started her challenge but raked in more than three times as much with the help of friends Charlotte and Amber.
She made her first charitable £30 selling pictures but it was a cake sale outside the family home that brought in the big bucks on Saturday morning.
By the time the trio, all from Heathfield School, in Beaulieu Drive, Pinner, baked their cakes and set up their stall, neighbours and family members were queuing up.
Poppy said: “I feel very good about myself that I have made a difference.”
Mum Nicola Treadaway said: “It was fantastic to see everyone in our drive drinking tea, chatting and admiring the cakes.
“After a count up the girls had raised £170 in total and were delighted.”
Red Nose Day is tomorrow.
