POLICE cordons have been taken down in Harrow Town Centre and employees are starting to go back to work after a bomb scare today.
Shop workers, customers and office staff flooded the streets around St Ann's and St George's Shopping Centres as officers gathered up police tape at around 12.30pm.
The area has finally returned to normal after roads were first closed at around 11.30am after a “suspect package”, thought to be a lunch box was found.
Employees say it was in the Job Centre Plus, at Queen's House, in Clarendon Road.
A 200 metre perimeter was set up, which saw College Road cleared of people and Harrow Bus Station closed.
