With the implementation of cuts in services across the country very soon, affecting many vulnerable people who are unable to speak up for themselves, the Trades Union Congress (TUC) is organising a protest march on Saturday with a rally in Hyde Park.
There is a forecast of 200,000 protesters demanding an alternative economic policy to create a fairer and more equitable society.
Despite the failure of the current Labour Party controlled Brent Council to elucidate in more detail, the massive £41.7 million cuts for 2011/12 and a current total of £104m over the next four years, residents with a social conscience should support the protest in seeking greater social justice and policies for jobs.
