PUPILS at a school in Hatch End were visited by some four-legged friends to teach them about the role of police officers.
Reception class students at Grimsdyke School, in Sylvia Avenue, Hatch End, had a visit from Hatch End Safer Neighbourhoods team officers, along with two mounted police officers and their horses.
PC Louise Smelt and PC Holly Hine took along their horses Knightsbridge and Fred for the event which was was part of the People who Care project.
PCSO Lucy Wicks of Harrow Safer Schools team, who organised the visit, said: "We had a great morning at the school and so did the children.
"They had fun trying on some of our uniforms and stroking the horses.
“It was also good to explain our role to them and how we help people in the community."
Pupil Anya, aged five, said: "I loved stroking the horses, they were so soft and gentle."
Teacher Lucy Lane said: "The visit made a valuable contribution to the children's learning, but was also fantastic fun. One of the highlights of the year."
