A PRIMARY school in Harrow is celebrating being rated outstanding following a recent Ofsted inspection.
Kenmore Park Infant and Nursery School, in Morehouse Road, impressed inspectors with its “strong relationships and school ethos", which they described as “very warm and welcoming”.
Key areas highlighted in the report include leadership of the headteacher, excellent care, guidance and support and excellent pupil behaviour.
The report said: “The extremely caring ethos results in happy pupils who thoroughly enjoy school life.
“There is an excellent commitment from all staff to provide each pupil with the very best education and a continual drive for improvement, all this is supported by the excellent leadership and management skills which permeate throughout the school thus ensuring the school has the capacity to move on.”
Headteacher Rutinderjit Mahil-Pooni said: “We are delighted and very proud with the outcome of our recent inspection not only because it acknowledges the hard work and commitment of the staff but, for our children and families who hold the school with such high esteem.”
Portfolio holder for schools and colleges at Harrow Council, Councillor Brian Gate, said: “Congratulations to all at Kenmore Park. This is well-deserved confirmation that the infant and nursery schools give children an outstanding start to their education and offer them every opportunity to flourish.
“It is also further evidence of the strength in depth and high standards of Harrow’s primary schools.”
