Living in central Harrow, off Station Road, I am completely at a loss to understand why there are no supermarkets open after 10pm. Indeed there aren’t any at all.
There are small independent retail outlets selling one or two loaves of bread at most and expensive cheese.
This simply isn’t good enough. I suspect the council is following some idealist social engineering policy barring the likes of Tesco, ASDA etc from the town centre. I want cheap produce 24 hours a day. Harrow Council, get your act together and allow planning applications for such.
