A RADIO station raised £260 with a public broadcast in a shopping centre and a school disco last weekend.
Radio Northwick Park put on a show for customers at St George's Shopping Centre, in Harrow Town Centre, on Saturday, between 10am and 6pm, generating around £160 in donations.
Its DJs, who normally broadcast from Northwick Park Hospital, then brought music to the ears at Freedy's Bar and Grill on Easter Sunday from 7pm to midnight, raising around £100 through ticket sales.
Programme controller Ben Punter said: “It was a great day out, nice to meet so many interesting people.
“Everyone was very giving and very friendly, plus thanks to our Shoppers’ Jukebox we were able to play many decent songs too.”
