HARROW Museum held a medieval anniversary celebration yesterday to mark 25 years at the historic site.
Falcon displays, a knight’s tournament, jesters and jugglers were some of the festivities at the May Day celebrations.
Free tours of the historic Manor House, Headstone Manor, in Pinner View, built in 1310 were available and the Medieval Combat Society were on hand to showcase a knight’s tournament.
Harrow Museum's other historic listed buildings will also be open to the public today.
Harrow Council’s portfolio holder for community and cultural services, Councillor Rekha Shah, said: "The May Day celebrations are always well-attended and offer a memorable day out for all the family and this year was no exception.
“Headstone Manor is a real asset to the community, and in the 25 years it has been open to the public, it has become a cultural hub for Harrow.
“I am proud that we have such a unique, valued facility and I would urge all residents to discover Harrow's historic past at the museum.
“Exhibitions and special events take place throughout the year as well as a number of permanent displays about the history of local industries and the Headstone site."
