The president of the Universal Society of Hinduism said the community is honoured that the Queen will be visiting a Hindu school next month as part of her Jubilee.
The Queen will be visiting Krishna Avanti School,in Camrose Avenue, next month with Prince Phillip as part of the first day of her Diamond Jubilee tour on March 29.
Rajan Zed, the President of Universal Society of Hindisum, said: “The Hindu community is honoured by the Queen’s gesture of launching her Diamond Jubilee tour with a visit to Britain’s first state-funded Hindu school.
“The UK is now a multi-faith society and the Queen visiting a Hindu school is a step in the right direction.”
