People are encouraged to put on their walking shoes and take part in a stroll along Belmont’s old railway line.
The walk, run by Walk Your Way to Health, gives people the chance to see some of the borough’s most scenic routes in a relaxed and friendly environment.
It will start next Saturday April 14 along the old railway line from Christchurch Avenue to Vernon Avenue, in Stanmore.
The Belmont line, known as “the Rattler”, was a steam drawn service which ran from 1890 to 1964. The line is now a nature trail with wild flowers, trees and autumn fruits, after being renovated by Harrow Council over winter.
The monthly walks run on the second Saturday of every month, until October 13.
To join in, meet at Harrow & Wealdstone Station, at the Wealdstone Entrance, just before 2pm on April 14. The walk is around three miles each way and includes a fairly steep hill.
