A community worker who carried the Paralympic torch through London last week brought it to a Stanmore supermarket on Friday.
Caroline England, 30, from Bushey, was one of hundreds of people to carry the flame through the capital last week as it made its way to the Olympic Stadium for the Paralympic Games opening ceremony.
And she brought her torch to Sainsbury’s in Stanmore Broadway on Friday afternoon to give customers a chance to get their hands on the 80cm long piece of history.
Vishal Mistri, nine, and mum Dhitri, who had tickets to go to the Games on Saturday, were among those to have their picture taken with the flame.
Caroline was nominated to carry the torch after being artistic director of Herts Inclusive Theatre for three years, in which time she has expanded the charity to work with more than 300 children.
