Wealdstone kept the pressure on leaders Whitehawk after a 2-0 win at East Thurrock United on Tuesday night.
The Stones opened the scoring after 35 minutes through Peter Dean and added their second goal when Wes Parker was on target in the second half.
The victory means Gordon Bartlett’s side are nine points behind Whitehawk in second place but have two games in hand over them.
Wealdstone had to work hard for a 0-0 draw at in-form Hendon at the weekend.
The hosts came into the match having won six of their previous eight games which gave them real belief heading into the match.
Hendon came close to taking the lead in the first half when the ball fell to Junior Morias but his shot was cleared off the line by a defender.
The visitors came under more pressure when Dean Cracknell fired in an effort which Rikki Banks pushed round the post.
Bartlett’s side looked more threatening in the second half and Esmond James fired just over the bar from 20 yards out.
Alex Dyer also had an opportunity but his shot was straight at the home goalkeeper.
The best chance of the game came when Lee Angol found Morias who was put through one on one with the keeper but Banks denied him with a superb reflex save.
Cracknell had one last chance to win the game for Hendon but he fired straight at Banks as the Stones battled to a decent point.
Wealdstone travel to play-off hopefuls Met Police this weekend.
