Wealdstone completed the double over Cray Wanderers this season with a 3-0 win in the Ryman Premier Division.
The Stones are now fourth in the table but only five points off top with three games in hand having won their last three consecutive league matches.
The first half proved to be an energetic, hard-fought encounter with both sides struggling to create any real clear-cut chances.
Wealdstone’s Jay Siva received a yellow card as tempers flared just before half-time but otherwise the opening 45 minutes were uneventful.
Wealdstone were more incisive in the second period and in the 66th minute, they took the lead as neat interplay from Elliot Godfrey and Jonny Wright set up Scott McGleish who powered a header into the back of the net.
Ten minutes later, skipper Sean Cronin doubled Wealdstone’s lead from the penalty spot after Cray defender Jack Clark handled the ball in the box.
As the game wound down, Stones were spraying the ball about in confident fashion and two minutes from time, substitute Peter Dean’s pinpoint cross found McGleish who finished well for 3-0.
The Stones will be hoping to continue their winning run on Saturday when they travel to lowly Leiston.
Off the pitch, Wealdstone supporters and shareholders are invited to attend the club AGM next Thursday.
Only shareholders and members will be able to cast votes as key issues affecting the club are discussed.
The Supporters Club meeting will commence at 7.30pm.
The main club meeting will start at 8.15pm at the Ruislip Social club.
