Wealdstone manager Gordon Bartlett praised his side for their “most satisfying” performance of the season after thrashing in-form Concord Rangers 6-1.
The Stones were in ruthless form away from home on Saturday as on-loan striker Richard Jolly netted four times.
Bartlett said: “We played tremendous football and it was our most satisfying win of the season. We could have scored a couple more to be fair.
“Saturday was important. To go away to a team playing so well and get a result would be good. But to come away with a result and six goals was a tremendous job and all credit to the players.
“I said that we had been threatening to give someone a bit of a thumping and it came on Saturday. I would love it to be a regular thing but I’m a realist. If we can have the killer instinct we’ve been lacking then I believe we can do it again.”
Wealdstone got off to a superb start when Sutton United striker Jolly tucked away a rebound after the goalkeeper parried a shot. He quickly added his second before the break when he finished off Danny Spendlove’s cross.
The Stones put the game beyond Concord in the second half when they added the third as Jolly completed his hat-trick.
Jolly netted his fifth goal in three games when he was put through and rounded the goalkeeper.
Peter Dean tucked away a penalty after Dale Brightly was sent off for bringing down Jolly. The hosts got a consolation before Dean’s second completed an emphatic victory.
Bartlett added: “Three league wins in a row have changed the complexion of the season. We were all very disappointed with our form but this means we can build on it and a couple more results and we will be in the top half of the table.”
Wealdstone also reached of the semi-finals of the Middlesex Charity Cup after a 2-1 win over Harefield United on Monday.
The Stones travel to struggling Maidstone United tomorrow in the Ryman Premier.
