Marc McCarroll had no complaints after his first round exit from the Paralympics wheelchair tennis singles today.

The 27-year-old, who originally comes from Harrow, was beaten in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, by number 14 seed Tom Egberink.

"I wasn't good enough on the day," said McCarroll after his defeat to the Dutchman, "there were too many errors.

"The crowd were unbelievable and I want to thank everyone who supported me. They picked me up and I tried my best, but it just wan't to be.

"Tom is a great plays and I wish him luck for the rest of the tournament. But this experience will really help for when I start the doubles with Gordon (Reid) and I'm looking forward to that now."
